Main Responsibilities
- Participate in sanctions review projects and initiatives related to sanctions topics
- Provide advisory support and coordinate on sanctions-related issues
- Review and coordinate sanctions-related escalations (customer level and transaction level)
- Facilitate transactions in all business line by providing sanctions advisory support
- Work closely with relevant local compliance teams in establishment of appropriate sanctions controls, monitoring procedure and framework based on Head Office and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above, major in law is preferred
- Depending on the seniority of the associate, at least 3 years work experience in sanctions-related advisory role
- Knowledge of sanctions law is an advantage
- Able to work independently under fast-pace and pressure
- Familiar with international sanction regimes and key development
- Possess good organizational, technical and coordination skill and detail minded
- Able to perform extensive research to validate required documents and information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Chinese and English (verbal and written)
