URGENT! Mia is in need of a new home!
This is a race against time - we have 2 weeks to find Mia a home or she will be put to sleep. This is not something that is wanted but Mia is petrified of being caged and for this reason she can't be flown back with the family when they leave.
Once she's inside a place and out of the cage she's fine, but she will need a bit of time to get over the trauma of being moved and her whole life disrupted.
She's a sweet cuddly cat, a healthy 7 year old, happy girl - I suppose it would be fair to say she has the cat equivalent to claustrophobia.
I can relate to her as I suffer from claustrophobia too, it's very scary! Poor Mia can't even tell us how she feels only demonstrate which is very upsetting for all concerned!
The clock is ticking - PLEASE call me! Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
The sad tale of Emma & Edowan
This is a sad tale and we hope with a happy ending - that will depend on our readers!
On the 13th of July we were involved in the rescue of 2 dogs whose lives changed forever......Their keeper used to dive regularly in the surrounding area but sadly one month ago he went diving and never surfaced, his body was found hours later.
The two dogs were homeless and dumped on a floating fish farm. The Chihuahua, 7 years old, now called Edowan and Emma the GR is only 14 months old.
These 2 dogs were alone for over a month, unable to go anywhere or do anything but wait - a neighbouring fish farmer came by every few days fed and gave them water.
They had to be rescued by speed boat and then transported to dry land where our volunteer waited to collect them - it was quite something given that she can't swim and is scared of water and yet for the dogs sake she put her fears aside, and brought them to safety!
They've since been to the vet and had a health check, miraculously they are both VERY healthy. Now vaccinated, and licensed everything done and they'll have a decent haircut and wash when they have got over their traumatic experience.
We'd like to keep them together if possible as they are very close, and have no doubt become closer in the last few weeks while patiently waiting for their keeper to return.
We need a foster / a home for them - they are toilet trained and are very lovely dogs - yes desexed etc.
Please contact Kirsten if you can help they really need the security only a loving home and family can offer. Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
Adorable Kittens - Daisy, Daffodil and Dandelion
These 3 adorable creatures were saved from certain death after being abandoned in a box. They were only a couple of weeks old then and thanks to a lovely young guy they are thriving after being in foster for over a month now.
They are all girls - Daisy, Daffodil and Dandelion - vaccinated, Frontline applied and wormed, microchip - what they can have they have had!
We plan to home them at the adoption day at Whiskers n Paws this weekend.
Like to meet them? Please contact Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
Friendly & sweet Dekland looking for a home
Deklan was found in Stanley where he'd managed to survive these past few months (he's 6 -7mths). He was fed by any and everyone who felt like it, and as he was so friendly he did well for himself.
Sadly some miserable person decided to get rid of him by reporting him to the government, luckily for him one of our volunteers nabbed him first.
He went to the vet and apart from a skin problem due to diet and weather, which is now fixed - he is a healthy young puppy with a lovely disposition. He could do with a foster, a home as he's not supposed to live where he is, but needs must.
Toilet trained already learned by himself, he's a quiet well behaved young dog who had a narrow escape - please help us make the next part of his life better than the beginning.
If you can help us help him, please contact us Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
Peewee & Pippa & Pixie
3 gorgeous youngsters, around 11 weeks old looking for their forever home, 1 pair and a single. They are in safe hands and enjoying the company of kids and adults alike, they are healthy playful youngsters with some growing to do. They have ferocious appetites having lived on little before they were rescued. Like to meet them?
They've had the basics and are up to date, ready for their second vaccination in a matter of days.
Peewee the little black boy
Pippa the Tortoiseshell girl with lots of white
Pixie the Tortoiseshell girl with more black than white
If you'd like to meet them with a view to adopt, please contact Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
Lucky Young Cat Cathy
Chatty Cathy is a lucky little girl, she survived AFCD and arrived at the vet painfully thin and too thin to desex. Now 2 months later she's a live wire and runs around with seemly boundless energy. She loves other cats, attention and food and she loves to have a chat too.
She's vaccinated, desexed and ready to go - - I love her black cap on her white face - quite a different looking young girl!
Please contact Kirsten if you'd like to meet this special girl! Kirsten - 5595-1933 / reply to this ad.
