PLEASE ADOPT ME!

Hello; My name is Myla.

I was found near the car garages in Sai Kung. My brother and sisters were caught a few weeks before me by one of the Sai Kung Stray Friends foster Mums, but I ran away before she could catch me. A few weeks later I was caught too and put on the foster Mum's roof with my siblings. My brother and sister were all homed very quickly, as they were very friendly. I, however had become very wary of humans after being on my own for a few weeks (before capture). My first foster Mum couldn't get near me and so (as she was moving back to England and my siblings had all been homed) another foster Mum came and took me to her house. My new foster Mum has 4 other dogs who I like to play with but I am still a bit scared of humans. I like to be cuddled sometimes and I like to play a lot and chew things.

I have been washed and blow dried (2x), Frontlined (de-fleed & de-ticked) 1x, de-wormed 1x and have had my first injection. I am due another injection, Frontline & de-worm next week. I need 3 injections in total plus a Rabies injection and a microchip. I will also need de-sexing in July (compulsory). I am currently about 3 months old. I have been fostered in a loving home for over 4 weeks now. I am toilet trained to go on a piece of newspaper.

I am looking for a permanent home with dog lovers, who have a spacious home with a garden, roof or terrace and who have someone at home during the day who is willing to look after me. I will need walking a minimum of 2 x per day once I have had all my jabs.

I am free, but my foster Mum is asking my adopter to pay for my costs so far (i.e. vets bills, food etc.) and to make a donation to Sai Kung Stray Pets and/or HKDR (if possible). I come with a harness, lead and toys. Adopters will also need to fill in a HKDR Questionairre and sign an adoption form.

My foster Mum does lots of volunteer work with Sai Kung Stray Pets and HK Dog Rescue and they currently have lots other puppies and grown up dogs (mongrels and breeds) available for adoption to good homes. If you would like to come and meet me and/ or the other puppies or older dogs then please call or sms my foster Mum (Hazel) on 9021-2472 anytime between 10 am and 7 pm Mon-Sun.

If you are not able to adopt a dog, but know of friend who might want one, then please feel free to pass on these details.

URGENT FUDGE & LUCY NEED A HOME!

We are leaving Hong Kong and moving to Australia. We had planned to take our two dogs with us, however, they have failed their blood test as they have been exposed to tick fever. They will now be given a course of medicine, then have another blood test. If they fail again we will need to re-home them.

We are devastated by this as we have had them since they were puppies, they are part of our family and we never imagined we would have to give them up.

They are both around six years old, female, medium sized, mixed breed dogs. They are wary of strangers to begin with, but once they know you they are loyal and protective. They are good with our three young kids. Fudge (the one with droopy ears) will do anything for a treat and if you turn your back on a plate of chicken, it will not be there when you turn around again! Lucy hates thunder and if there is a storm at night you are likely to wake up with a dog on your bed. And if you mention the word bath, you will have to find them first!

They are very attached to us, especially the father of our house, so they might take a while to settle in but once they do, you will find them to be great pets who are always happy to see you.

We would like to home them together as they have grown up together. We have been told it might be hard to home them as they are not puppies and they are not pedigree but we know there is someone out there who could give these two girls a great, loving home.

* They have tested positive for leishmania (from sandflies). Leishmania is a disease the vets haven’t seen in HK dogs before so aren’t sure how ours even contracted it. They do not have any symptoms and may never become sick from it. However, there is a small chance that as they get older they might need some medical attention due to this disease.

If you are planning on relocating, they will not be able to go to Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, but any other country will take them.

LOVELY LIZZIE

Lizzie was one of HK Alley Cat Watch's colony cats who was de-sexed through the government's sponsored trap, neuter, release program in 2006.

Up until recently, she has been very happy in her colony that is fed and watered daily; that is until she suffered from a skin allergy, which has since been treated and she's now in great shape.

Lizzie has been one of our 'streeties' for a few years now and it has always been thought that she was once a domestic cat as she is too friendly for her own good!

Currently staying with me and my numerous cats and a dog, she has settled in very nicely and has not even hissed once!

Lizzie is a very contented cat and would make a wonderful companion.

These two super friendly brothers are 18 months old, healthy, playful and exactly what young cats should be; full of life.
