The Dante Alighieri was originally founded in Rome in 1889 and has 3,300 language schools and cultural centres throughout the world. There has been a branch in Hong Kong since the early 1960s. It is a non-proft-making organisation with the aim of promoting the Italian language and culture through language courses designed for non-native speakers. Courses are available from beginner to advanced levels and are offered in the evening, during the day and on Saturdays.
