- Christian Quality Education with a Scandinavian Touch-
NIS is a Christian School where the education is based on fundamental Christian values. You can see this being reflected in the teaching and in the attitude of respect teachers and students show towards each other.
We put a Scandinavian touch to the education, by including the basic principles of Norwegian teaching into the teaching methods. The aim of education is to furnish children, young people and adults with the tools they need to face the tasks of life and surmount its challenges together with others. Education shall provide learners with the capability to take charge of themselves and their lives, as well as with the vigor and will to stand by others.

- Small Class Sizes, Low Teacher/Student Ratio
A teaching staff of nine to ten teachers for the 65-70 students gives a very low teacher/student ratio. This enables the teachers to give individual attention to each student in the class, a great benefit to all students.
- Multi-Cultural Faculty and Students
There are more than ten different nationalities represented at NIS. This gives an exiting opportunity to learn from, appreciate and respect different aspects of the cultures. This also creates a truly international environment for the student to develope and flourish.

NIS is the next door neighbour to a full size sportsfield. The school has access to the field for all PE classes, after school activities and Sports Day. Depending on the kind of sport practised, nearby indoor sportsfacilities are also used. |
