Stormy Dragons – The Club
Formed in only 2006, Stormy Dragons has had remarkable success since it’s inception, becoming one of the leading clubs in Hong Kong – in 2008 our Womens’ team was the first team ever to be undefeated in Hong Kong, and went on to successfully compete at the World Club Championships in Penang, Malaysia.
Our Mens’ team had its first races in 2008 and made an impressive start to the
season by coming 2nd at Lamma International Dragon Boat Races, continuing
through the season with impressive results. In 2009 the Men are aiming even higher!
The Mixed team has gone from strength to strength and in 2008 came in 2nd
at the world-famous Stanley Main Race.
Racing – Hong Kong and Overseas
Not only does the club enter many of the domestic Hong Kong competitions, we also compete at the International Races in Boracay in late April. 2009 is no exception, and we look forward to improving on our results from 2008!
New members welcome – regular training
Expert or beginner, we welcome new members from all backgrounds and nationalities. We train at Tai Tam Tuk Village, just across from the entrance to Tai Tam Country Park on the Southside of Hong Kong Island:
Monday Evenings: 7:30pm-9pm
Wednesday Mornings: 9:15am-11:15am
Thursday Evenings: 7:30pm-9pm
Saturday Mornings: 9am-11am
