The Kumon method, now internationally promoted, offers a non-traditional approach to learning focusing on concentration and self-study, speed, accuracy and self-confidence. Students are placed according to their ability rather than by age or grade level, with those wishing to enrol given a test to assess materials that are appropriate for them. Subjects tackled include maths, English and Chinese. Classes are available for those from kindergarten age to adults. They are held once weekly in different locations around Hong Kong with homework given to emphasis the benefits of self-study.
