My client is looking for a CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring compliance with Insurance Authority regulations, managing financial reporting and internal controls, driving business growth, leading a high-performing finance team, and staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the organization, ensuring the achievement of financial goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, driving financial performance and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including Insurance Authority (IA) regulations.
  • Manage financial reporting, including timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior management and business units to assess and optimize financial strategies and opportunities.
  • Drive business growth and expansion initiatives through financial analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the insurance sector.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial management roles within the insurance industry, with a focus on life insurance.
  • Thorough knowledge of Insurance Authority regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic business environment.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.
