Ferry from pier 3 in Central to DB, then get No 9 bus to Siena Park
Event starts at 11.30 am to 9pm.

Sorry guys the link for the Discovery Bay Big Band was removed, however they are great, if you like Swing and Glenn Miller style music, also there are plenty of really good Rock Bands, and children dancing, it is a really happy atmostphere at Picnic In the Park, really worth a visit.

And ridiculously crowded when even just the DB res's turn up.

Some of the acts are great and actually have tallent, many others are just for 'fill' and very amateur (picture a bunch of 40-50 year old bored housewives thinking they can belt out 'it's raining men', out of tune and with ½ the lyrics forgotten, whilst dressed in waaaaaaay too tight lycra) Sorry if it sounds harsh...but that's one of last years acts actually returning...sheesh

It is a charity event, and most of the acts are excellent, the 'ladies ' you refer to are just doing it for fun, they are part of the very hard working organisation.
