Legal Advice - iCable Installation w/o Owner's Consent

ORIGINAL POST

Scenario -

Tenant gets iCable to install service, but without my written permission (as required by our tenancy agreement).

Queries -

1) Is iCable liable or the tenant for damage to the property?

2) What is the current ordinance on this area - tried OFCA (formerly OFTA) but still waiting for reply?

3) Recommendation of any solicitors dealing in this area?

tenant is liable (who else really?) since your contract is with the tenant.

side note: why would you not allow him to chose the broadband provider that he wants?

Thanks cookie09!

Afraid not a simple case of letting tenant choose broadband provider and involving 'simple' installation inside the apartment!

The property is privately owned, and iCable stuck cabling up the external wall to connect to a dish they had also installed on the roof.

All done without my permission.

Not only that but iCable had the cheek to connect the guys living at another flat in another building to the dish too!
