Boarding Services for Guinea Pigs

ORIGINAL POST

I have "rescued" 2 guinea pigs from the local SPCA who at the time advertised that they would provide boarding services to members (which is great when you are new in a country).

Seems that they only do that if you have a cat or a dog, guinea pigs are too much hard work (really?). Do any of the forum members know of boarding services for smaller animals (preferably in HK Island area) and do you have any experience of them, i.e. can you recommend them and are they likely to not maltreat my girls?

All responses gratefully received. My holiday is booked over Christmas (which could be an added problem).

Could you not ask a friend or neighbour to do it. We've looked after our neoghbours goldfish, and are currently looking after our friends snake for a few weeks. Or ask one of the helpers where you live if they'll do it for a small fee.
