Had a quick look at ANZ. Seems that if you are an expat you need to be a 'high earner' to qualify.

Minimum HK$1,450,000 wage per year. Minimum 'assets' of HK$7,000,000.

Seems many Aussie expats (excluding me) are doing well!!

Many thanks for replies posted above. Land+building(partially built) located in Dubai to be used as collateral. Mortgage loan sought is quite larger than minimum "assets". If neccessary, will do under (Dubai registered) company name. Will look into ANZ too.

how did you get on Tracey, we would like a new mortgage for property in the UK, anybody know if we can get here??
