Last Minute Birthday Celebration

Wife celebrating big bday this weekend, not planned anything elaborate. was thinking of just taking her out for a quiet dinner tonight and celebrate with friends next weekend (we are away tomorrow night). she indicated that she didn't want a quiet dinner, so lost as to what to do. i live on hk island but bored of the whole lkf/soho scene. can anyone help with a dinner/afterdinner suggestion or is it safe to wait until next weekend to celebrate w/ friends?
