suggestion for classifieds

I love the free classifieds and often buy great stuff from them. When I first looked at this site, about 8 years ago, it was great, but now the "household furnishings" is so hard to look through as you need to trawl through hello kitty plastic bags for sale, used plastic buckets, used clipboards and local traders who post thier new goods up almost daily (at higher than market price anyway, hoping to catch a new expat I'm guessing). Ed, can you somehow make some more categories for maybe specifically furniture and another for small stuff under $50? What do you think?

An improvement no doubt - but $50 is, I feel, a bit on the low side.

How about having a completely separate section of : "Any one Item not more than $100.00" ?? ...and allowing users to post there *&* in the relevant section for the item(s) in question? i.e double postings to move seller's items more easily to the next owner.

The problem [now] is that low value items are often swamped by high value goods & disappear way down the pile & seldom get any eyeballs on them - a second "Byte at the Cherry" would probably be most welcomed.... As would a numerical indication of how many eyeballs have perused the item - and whether any reply via PM has been read - and when.

We've added a new category this morning - you now have Free and another for Under $50.

Hopefully this will be the solution

Yes - but the point I **WAS** trying to make is that there NOW is a plethora of $50 hot-spots - well - TWO anyway !

# - ITEMS UNDER $50 (5)

And NOW they contain the same items in each one. <Grin>.
