DH Declined Visa

We finally managed to find a helper after many many interviews that we were happy with and last week signed all the papers to take to HK immigration - DH had interview on Thursday and was declined on the basis of 'bad conduct' apparently she was with someone who was caught stealing on her day off and the police took her details, my husband was called and told the application was declined and she has to go home once her current contract is complete. DH had very good references from her last 2 employers and immigration even phoned current employer for reference before her interview. Despite the references they told her that she has to leave.

Anyway - having gone through the application process and DH declined - does this affect any future application we make for another DH?

i wouldn't think so, she was declined, not you as the sponsor.

I agree that it probably wouldn't impact you. Very annoying though to go through that far and then have it knocked back!

...and the good references (strange, though, that very few bad references ever come to light) from the employers will have nothing to do with what she might or might not do on her time off. It's a tough situation to be in, but nothing you can do about it, and (as stated above) neither will it impact your future applications.
