Boarding House - Tung Chung/DB or Central

We are terminating our helper today and want to make sure she has somewhere to go.

We live in DB so somewhere in DB or Tung Chung would be preferable, else Sheung Wan or Central.

I've seen lots of similar posts but no contact details provided!

She was a direct hire so we can't just refer her back to the agency.

You might call one of the local agencies that have a business around where you live and ask for a referral. However, many girls are scared to stay in the hostel because of the drinking and gambling. If your helper belongs to a church, they often have "transition" places for them to stay. By law, she has a 2 week window before she must leave HK and as far as I know nearly all of the DH use that time to try and get another employer!

Hi,
This is the number for the asiaxpat domestic helper section 2815 2520.
If anyone knew, it would would be them since they are very fair to the girls and do not try to cheat at all. Also, you might be surprised, your DH has have her own contacts and already know of a place. The grapevine of information is amazing, she could even call her friends. Hostels usually charge about $50 per day, so you could say "I know you have x many days before you fly home, here is $x allowance for you to use for room and board until your flight."
** Make sure you get signatures for any salary you have paid, extra for travel expenses and the ticket. She needs to sign this in case she takes you to Immigration or POEA, she will have no case.
