Helper doesn't want to take statutory leave over CNY

My helper of 6 mths has requested to work over the CNY period. As we would be busy over that period, we don't really need her around the flat. She then explained that she wanted to accumulate her statutory leave together with her annual leave so she could go back in December for a long break. She insists on working during those days but we rather she takes her leave as stipulated by the law. Any advice??

it is illegal to do this. you MUST give stat holidays or they may be substituted for other days WITHIN 30 days of the stat.

tell her that it's not up to her, it is illegal. she CANNOT work those days.
