deferring return to home between contracts

I wish my new helper to start immediatley after her contract with her previous employment ends. I have heard it is possible to defer her return home between contract. Does anyone know how I can do this?

yes, you can choose on one of the forms to "defer " return home 1 year.
After 1 year, you can ask your helper to exit to Shenzhen or Macau and they will give them the rest of the VISA until your contract ends.

pebbles, make sure that this is what she wants - she might be really desperate to go home see her family if she has not been for, say, 2 years?

in the visa form from Immigration ,the one to be filled in by applicant , there is a box for her to tick which says change of employer defer home leave and on the form you have to say how soon she can take leave
I have just signed somebody and she has agreed to defer her leave till we go on annual leave

Anyother qs you might have the best thing is to call up Immigration dept directly and speak to an officer they are extremely helpful , polite and very very patient .
