Playgroup for ITALIAN CHILDREN

Looking for a playgroup with Italian children. I have a 2 and half year old and a 10 month old. I just really would like them to be exposed to the Italian language more. My husband and I speak Italian, but I feel it is not enough. The kids can learn English at home with the maid and at school.
I would love some feedback or even to start one.

My husband is Italian and always speaks Italian to our 11 month old son Nicolò. We could be interested in getting together with other Italian parents and their kids. What's the best way to do this? Maybe meet at someone's house on a weekend and alternate? We live in Happy Valley.

Great to hear from you. I think it sounds great to meet at someone's house maybe on Saturday afternoons. I do not mind to start with my house first. I will call some other friends and see if we can start this in May. My name is Delia and phone # is 60719516.

Hello Ladies, sorry I did not get back to you sooner. My baby had to have a inor surgery and so I was not able to focus on things. I still want to have this ITALIAN playgroup. Are you still interested?? Please let me know.

I am still interested I am in ITaly now and will return the 18th of August. Then we can finally start this playgroup.

Hello Silvia ! Come stai!! So happy to receive some replies. I just came back from Italy on the 17th of Aug. Great holiday, but my maid who came with me disappeared the night before our trip home. This is a problem because I was alreay supposed to work. Anyhow I hope we can soon start this playgroup together with the others.

Well it seems like this playgroup never started for so many reasons. HK is such a busy city and kids keep us going...

Hi Delia71,
If you wish your children to learn Italian there is also the school "A.Manzoni" that has a playing group for small children. The children there are all Italian or half Italian. You can find the contact details on the Italian Consulate website. There you will find also the contact details for Italian Women Association. Anyone speaking Italian is welcome. Please keep in mind that in the meetings we will ONLY speak Italian, since it is for this reason that we meet!
