Playgroup for 2 yr old in Sheung Wan/Hollywood rd
Posted by simonosborne (460 days ago)
Unless I can find a nice playgroup for my 2 year old son my wife has indicated that she and he will stay in Bangkok for play-group and pre-school, instead of returning to Hong Kong.
Has anyone got any ideas? I'd like them to come back !

There is a wonderful pre-school on Queen's Rd West - Casa Dei Bambini. Beautiful environment, great teacher. My 15 month old daughter goes there and loves it.

Check out Woodland Schools. They have ten preschools in Hong Kong and all of them seem to have a good reputation. We used to have our daughter go to the school in Mid Levels, and then we moved to the south side and now we have our youngest at the Repulse Bay Woodland school. We've also been happy with them. Good luck!

These schools do look nice. However, the Casa Dei Bambini costs HK$10,000 per month for 3 year olds - golly !

That must be for full-day 5 x week (age 2.5 - 6years) I pay $3,500 per month 3 x week. My daughter is in the 13 months to 2.5yr class. It is not cheap, but consider the environment, teacher and the equipment used, I feel it is well worth the money. Agree though that not everyone can afford it.

Well, my wife has put him in school in Thailand, Neo-Kids in All Seasons Place. It costs US$200 per month. 9am till 5 pm, monday to friday. He really likes it and is flourishing there.
Watching 'Barney' ad nauseam in Hong Kong was making him go cross-eyed, so its for the best.

i'm glad that it seems to have worked out for you, although, keep in mind that virtually everything in thailand is cheaper (especially rents, i'm guessing) so that reduction in cost is passed on to the customer.
