Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of a good music program on Hong Kong Island I can send my children to? I have twins aged 2.5yrs. Thanks.

We have tried three different music programs on the island for my two little ones and I haven't been all that impressed. I have to say that it was entirely refreshing to find a music program with a teacher who really KNOWS children and who is QUALIFIED (be careful, many people in Hong Kong "claim" to be an expert in an area and they obtain their 'certificates' ONLINE!!). The program is called Musik'n'Motion and I believe it is in Central and the one we go to is up at the HKCC on the Peak. The location has alot of room for kids to sing and dance in and move around. I am also a montessori person and so I liked the fact that she uses natural wooden instruments. It's the best quality children's music class that I have seen thus far. I highly recommend it!! We are wrapped. You can check it all out at their website: www.musiknmotion.com
Goodluck with it all!

My two boys have always enjoyed Andrea's Music Together classes. We have learnt so much and the children adore Andrea and we love the music, plus she is fully qualified and teaches music to older children. It is always hard to get a place though, she is almost always fully booked, you just have to register interest and hope a place comes up. We go to the classes right next door to the Hong Kong Cricket Club, but I think she also does classes in Tai Tam. www.musictogether.com

Hi Kate,
I have to agree with you. I wasn't sure about trying out 'another' music class for my toddler, but after attending Priscilla's Musik'n'Motion class we were hooked. She has a wealth of experience behind her to include teaching kids in the US, Italy and Oz. The curriculum she uses is called Musikgarten. Do you know about it? It is really big where I am from in the US. Her classes are very innovative and she's really clued into the children. She is really patient with the children and helps parents to understand why music education is important. She has a great voice and my little guy can't wait for the next class. The HKCC was fully booked, but we got into the classes at Central. Do you know if she is opening more at the HKCC?

Thanks for that. I just found out yesterday that Priscilla's toddlers class are all full at the HKCC. I will try the central location.
