I just given birth to a baby boy in Feb and would like to meet up with other mothers with babies of similar ages. Does anyone know of any mother and baby group mainly in Hong Kong island area ( Causeway Bay or Central )? Thanks.
It's not central or CWB but there is a great one at Matilda Hospital on Thursday mornings. I know there are quite a few mum's that pop out for lunch afterwards so that could be a start.
dear poppyp,
thanks a lot. do you know how i can find out more about this? any phone numbers that you can give me or is there more you can tell me. i am really interested. thanks for the info, really appreciate it.
Matilda Hospital ph; 28490111. Lecture Hall ground floor. Also if you dont drive, make sure you collect free bus passes from reception. Cost of playgroup is $ 60.
There are quite a few AWA (American Women's Association) baby groups and they seem to stay together for quite a while, through subsequent pregnancies (which also seem to happen around the same time!) and people moving in and out of HK.
I found my group really worthwhile, especially early on when I had no idea about anything.
You can probably get some basic info from their website (www.awa.org.hk)
btw, you don't have to be American to join the AWA. My group had about 12 members (people are always leaving HK) and there were only 3 American's, with English, Australian, South African, German, and Canadian mum's as well.
