Playgroups with mums

I am looking for a playgroup/activity for 6-12 months age group to go with my son.
Many of the classes I have attended only have helpers and I am the only mother there. I am looking around central/happy valley etc .

Last time I checked, the English Speaking Members Department at the YWCA on Macdonnell Road had classes that specified which kind of caregiver could attend with the child. Might want to check their website. HTH.

Although it is TST,there is the YMCA and also USRC in Jordan which has an outdoor area.

I don't know if you have tried PANDAJUNCTION in Admiralty- there are also mums with their babies- not just the helpers ...........good luck!

The USRC in Jordan 9 (a few minutes walk from the MTR) meets tues and fri mornings, 9.30 - 11.30, $50 a session. parents and children only. Has agreat outdoor play area. Its a very friendly, multi cultural group, and several people come across from the island, Sai Kung, even DB.

Why not try our mother and baby group at the hospital - no helpers. A great way to make friends and the health visitor talks about different child development topics each week.

there is a great playgroup for kids at the Methodist Church in Wan Chai. they have sessions for parents on certain days and other days for helpers only. it starts up again Sept 5. i will get you the phone number if you're interested.

Union Church on Kennedy Road and HKPPA both have different sessions - mothers, helpers and open play. Both are good to meet people as it the Mother & Baby Group at the Matilda.

Rumpus Rooms is in the Jade Centre,
98 Wellington Street.
Entrance is a bit hard to find as it is 10m up the hill in Cockrane Street.
It is only 75 dollars per sesson.
Reopens after the holidays tomorrow at 10.

The one in Wanchai is good and you can park at Pacific Place III easily. Just a street away. You can try contacting them at 2527-2249 or 25273027. They have two organisations operating the playgroup there. Dont join the Cannan group ones. The Panda English Playgroup is much better cos there is someone to lead the playgroup wherelse the Cannan ones usually just leave the kids playing alone.

I bring my baby to tots and toddlers, its in sheungwan, and normally babies with mums goes there.

Anybody looking for company to go for playgroup? My baby boy is now 7 months old, and we dont have much friends with same age range as my boy, all my friends kids are now 4-5 years old...anyone up to it, drop me a line, will be happy to meet new friends.
