Details of playgroups on Kennedy Rd

hi, been reading some threads re playgroups on Kennedy Road ie Union Church and Wanchai Methodis Church. Any website or information (eg days, pricing, whether helpers allowed) on these playgroups will be greatly appreciated. I have a 6 month old child.

Hi Zapi, as it happens I went to the Union Church one today. It was quite good. It runs on a Monday and Thursday morning 9.30am-11.30am. Starts off with a free play session, then the kids have snack time around 10.30am, after that they do some art, storytime and then finally nursery rhymes. I think you can go along for the first time and if you like it you fill a form in to regsiter. Not sure how much it is though as I havent registered yet as I want to explore other groups first.

they don't have websites but the phone numbers will be listed. for both those groups I found they weren't really suitable till 9-12 months old, or when your child is walking. Crawling around is not great when older children can stand on tiny hands, also the floor not the cleanest at the Methodist Church - but the group atmosphere etc. good. The prices for both these are really cheap so don't expect fancy equipment it is more of a coffee morning for mums to catch up and the children to raom around and meet new friends. my helper really enjoyed the Union church as it runs specific helper and toddler groups. PPA free play is another good option, but below 9 months I'd opt for panda junction or similar
