friends for my 18month old girl

Hi, I'm looking for moms with babies around my daugter's age to do stuff with, like afternoon outings or running around chasing tennis balls in the court, just basically fun outdoor activities. I used to do lots of sports and would like to get the little ones into it as well. I live in the south area of hk island.

this is quite an old post...

I live in Mid-Levels which is near Wanchai. I have a 20 month-old son. If you are interested in getting together let me know.

Ya i should hv checked that. Thanks for your response. Will let u know my schedule reg HKg. BTW hv you enrolled your son in any playschools and what about regular playgroup you have joined.pls let me know.

Right now he goes to Woodland Preschool's playgroup and Gymboree as our regularly scheduled activities. Most organized activities and playgroups here you have to pay to join but there are many choices if you are willing to pay for it.

thanks , playgroup i meant was like mom n kids get together, the informal playgroups. are u memeber of any of these.

The Woodland group is for kids attending with with an adult, so is Gymboree. We do have some friends that we meet with at the park, zoo, etc. I'm not sure where you are from but I suspect Hong Kong is quite different in terms of playgroups. Usually here both parents work and the domestic helper takes care of the kids. A vast majority of kids that you meet anywhere here are accompanied by a domestic helper. It's quite hard to find moms and kids with similar interests and ages. You can find some on sites like this, geobaby.com is good too. There are not too many opportunities here to just bump into another mom and make plans. You can send me a PM and let me know when you arrive and we can make plans. Good luck!
