Hi

Does anybody know any:
playschools/playgroups
Hong Kong Island
M-F - ie, Monday through Friday, a class with same children
For 1-2 year olds
Mornings or Afternoons Only
English or Cantonese or Mandarin or Combination
Small class size

I am looking for a Monday - Friday, every morning or every afternoon programme.

For example:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri at 9-12

Go to the Methodist Centre next to Wesley Hotel at Wanchai and their no. is 2527-2249. They have quite a good selection of classes you can chose from. Hope u find something u like.

I checked out Sunshine House just this week and they had a M-F morning class for kids 18mons above, but has to be accompanied by a helper or parent. I've signed up my son who is 2.2 for their summer class which starts on the 31st. www.sunshinehouse.com.hk

There's one in Fortress Hill called QQ Club They've got classes from M-F for kids below 3 yrs. Mornings are from 930-1200, afternoons are from 230-500pm

Crj, Tutor Time in Redhill Plaza meets most of your criteria. You will not find the same children in there every morning; most children do 2-3 mornings a week, accompanied by parent/helper. The classes are 1.5 hours long (one runs from 9-10.30, the other from 10.30-12). Classes are divided 50:50 English:Mandarin (i.e 45 minutes of each). They are very structured classes, so not ideal if you want to maximise free play time. Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I know Woodland Tai Tam has classes for 1 year olds, just two times a week in the afternoon with the same children and 8 or 10 kids max.

Thanks Mum and Rocco - I did call Tutor Time and talked to them a few weeks ago, they do sound very good - now I am wondering about commute times *sigh* never an easy answer :)

crj, have you looked at victoria? www.victoria.edu.hk however, i think there is a waiting list. i have put my baby on the waiting list for their playgroup for next year already when he turns one.

S1 - I have looked at Victoria for their pre-school/kindy, but unfortunately their playgroups are just way too far from where we live :(
