playschool/ group for 15 month old mid levels
Posted by HK2 (503 days ago)
Hi, Moms from Mid-levels,
I have a 15 month old girl and would now like to put her into something like a structured playgroup - maybe 2-3 times a week, around this area.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hi,
you can bring her to Woodlands Montessori. They have a playgroup for 15 months old in the afternoon. If you're looking for an informal playgroup, please PM me.

Thanks, jwng,
I have put my daughter's name down at Woodland Montessori on Caine Road for their playgroup classes - but i was told they need to be 18 months to start so we are looking at June/ July for that.

Greetings! I am a full-time mother organizing an activity class in Pokfulam. My family recently relocated to Hong Kong and would love to meet you and your little ones.
I have a master’s degree and doctoral course works on instructional design. Lessons will be conducted in English. Please feel free to PM me with any questions.
Class description: Parent/caregiver and baby (around 9 months and up)interact with each other through songs, stories, finger play and linguistic conceptual games. Different theme each week.
Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11.50 a.m. Depending on interests, I hope to start in May.

The new montessori school Casa Dei Bambini opened in Sheung Wan is an excellent pre-school. Can't rave enough about it. My 15 month old daughter goes there and loves it. Theclassroom/environment is beautiful and the teacher is experienced and dedicated. www.casadeibambini.com.hk

Hi HK2, I also put my kids names down with the Woodland Montessori on Caine Road and I think you'll find that they now have classes for infants 12 months old on a Wednesday morning. I haven't actually heard of the Casa Dei Dambini, but like Woodlands as they have lots of schools.

Hi jaredada,
Do you have any updates on the playgroups you were mentioning?

Hi Natalie11
I know this was a while ago but I've had friends whose kids have gone to Woodlands. Not the Caine Road one but I have heard that the schools are good... Hope this helps.

Hi Black Dog,
Thanks for replying. My kids have now joined the Helen Doron Early English Group. It was introduced by a friend of mine whose children attend Helen Doron"s classes in Germany. I am so impressed by their teaching method. My toddler Mia is very happy and excited every week when it is time to go to her classes. Songs, dances, games and lots of pleasure.... The best thing is that mothers are allowed to join the class so we all know exactly what they are learning in class and the teachers there teachers us mothers how to train them at home. Everytime there are new experiences that are also repeated and enjoyed at home. I am only sorry we didnt start from an ealier age.
