Tung Chung - closest development to MTR/shuttlebus
Posted by cheeky (487 days ago)
I'm considering moving to TC, but am a bit confused by all the developments there.
CC is further from MTR needing a shuttlebus?
Which is the most convenient development/blocks for the shuttlebus/MTR (if working in Central)?
Also I keep reading that it is pet friendly - does this mean that there is constant dog-barking?
Any feedback good/bad from living there appreciated.

we live at cc and you can easily walk to the mtr.there is tung chung cresent closest to the fountain at tc, then there is coastal skyeline ang also seaview cresent all are walking distance to tc. yes you can have pets and I have not heard any dogs barking at all. most of the owners are very good picking up after their dogs etc.

CC is the only development which allows pets. Have a friend who lives there and there is a dog in her block which constantly barks. Apparently some people have called the police about it... so it still barks (poor thing must not be happy).
It's an idea to go to TC to get the lay of the land. Or check on YPMap or Centamap.
Any walk to the MTR depends on which part of which development you live at. For example, Block 1 of Coastal Skyline is far nearer to CC than the MTR. BTW, some ads may mention a 2-min walk to MTR - that refers to the entrance of Citygate, you still have a little bit of a walk to the actual MTR station.

While pets are generaly not allowed in Tung Chung Crescent, I have a friend whose neighbor has a small dog which they smuggle in and out using a doggie-bag..And they are not the only ones..
Not sure with C Skyline, but with Seaview Crescent, I have yet to see a dog -owner..

we live in CC, and have a dog next door. its occasional barking does not spoil our experience of living here.
if you live in phase 3 or the new phase 4, the walk to the MTR is about the same time as taking the bus, thanks to the fact that they have removed the barrier at the walkway near phase 4.
CC is still cheaper than CS, and has nicer flat layouts.
