Hi,

We have homes in Oz and are looking to buy in Hong Kong really need advice on how to do this and how best to mangage our funds. Can any one recomend a company.

What do you want to do with your money?
Do want to use your Australian properties as collateral to buy here - or sell them to buy here?

If to use as collateral - see National Australia Bank for a loan - they offer the least fees and the easiest terms for the Australian Banks in HK.

If you want a company to help you sort your money out - just be careful because they are all after you to buy all sorts of things that is not what you went there for.

How exactly do you need your money managed?

Open a bank account in HK and get a lawyer in HK if you do not already have either.
You can get the lawyer through the bank if you have no obvious contacts.
Borrow money on your properties in Oz and then transfer the money to HK bank account.
For mortgage on the HK property use your HK bank for quote.
If you are reasonably flush then you can use an HSBC premier account or equivalent for a more personalised management of your account.

Hi Saikunga,

We are wanting to buy over here not sure whether we have to sell a property over in oz to make collateral. would like to keep them if possible but do not want to be asset rich and cash poor at the same time.
