South Lantau

I'm thinking about moving to South Lantau as I've
had enough of the noise & pollutiton etc in Mid-Levels.
Can anyone give me any ideas about where is a good location amd also how much an average house would be.
Also I will go to Mui wo at the weekend to look
around the Estate Agents but I thought it better to get some info before then.

you should definately consider Hong Kong Gold Coast. A magnificent beach resort living style environment with huge open greenery space and a wonderful marina seaview. Definately the answer to your noise and pollution problem. it also has great club house which has the largest free-form swimming pool and a shopping mall which fills with restaurants and super market. A super nice development with beach, yacht club, shopping mall and hotel. Easy and convenient transportation at your door step, public bus takes 40min to Central and shuttle bus service which takes you to Tsuen Wan MTR Station, Central, Wanchai and the Airport.

They have low rise beach house units 2900+sq.ft. w/roof for $60K or garden unit 3300+sq.ft. for $64K; for lower budget $25K for 1700+sq.ft. high-rise penthouse unit w/huge roof. Magnificent 180 degree seaview. Definately your best choice.

We had a look at the weekend, however there is not much available for sale and I gather that prices have increased a great deal. We really
were considering the Chueng Fu St. area in Cheung Sha But nothing available so for the moment we'll stay in Mid-Levels.

I live in Cheung Fu Street, and there are new properties there to rent. House are always coming on the market in that area to buy, but I would suggest renting first to see how you like it before buying. Also essential to work out if you can stand the commute!
