Could anyone please explain this area to me. It seems a little bit cheaper than Pokfulam which is where I have been looking on the web. Mny thanks to all of those who have kindly responded to all by other posts. Anyone know of Royal Court?

Hi Scott,

Mid-Levels East is usually what people say when they mean around the Kennedy Road/Macdonnell Road area. It isn't particularly cheap there either. It is a nice area with lots of low-rises, fairly quiet and, in places, within walking distance of Central.

There are two buildings called Royal Court, both on Kennedy Road. The one at 3 Kennedy Road has flats going for 40K up. At 9M Kennedy Road the flats are smaller, from 600 to about 900 sq ft. The smaller ones have 2 bedrooms and would probably go for under 25K, whereas the larger ones have 3 bedrooms and may be between 25K and 30K now. We don't actually have any at the moment so I can't be more specific.

Cheers Linda for that. I think we have decided to take out a second morgage and try to rent on the island as it definitely seems to be suiting our school and job positions better.
