Sai Kung / CWB

Hi
We are planning moving from North Point to Sai Kung within the next coming months (asap in fact after holidays, so early september), we : me and my husband, we work in TST and in Hung Hom, our son 8 months old and our maid.
We are looking for a good place to live with good public transport (as I don't like driving!), around 1400sft for 25-30KHK, ideally -never know- with good facilities and rooftop or small garden. We ve visited few places, village houses and I was not fully convinced : I am not too sure about safety there plus I am not a big fan of dogs especially during the night...
I am a little bit lost as there are so many options so many village and villas... Our top dream would be Marina Cove but seems little bit expensive, so any good options any name of village or villa, any good experience please share it will help us a lot!
Thanks

Have you looked at Jade villa? Community pool, They have a few apartments there and maybe Floral Villas? This has a pool and a gym and a shuttle bus into Sai Kung town.

Saw a 1371sf apartment at Razor Hill for rent recently for under $25k, with communal pool, it was in the window of Canaan properties in Sai Kung. This area would be good for you as it is on the main bus routes, and has a good little Wellcome.

Hmm- but isn't that area extremely humid most of the year CD - as in water dripping off the walls and in the clouds?

It can be cloudier than other places, but only really bad feb/mar, same as else where. I live very close to Razor Hill and its fine.

I'm looking for tenants for my apartment in Sai Kung (next to HK Marina), with full sea-view around 1400sq.ft. (G/F & 1/F duplex), good neighborhood. Please let me know if you want more info.

thanks for all your comments
Jade Villa looks very Ok I will have a look for sure may be too expensive,
then for razor Hill I also heard that it was very humid, but as the price range is exactly what we are looking at, we may also go and visit there,
unfortunatly Floral villa is too far away I think...
Anyway lots to visit! anymore advices are welcome. Thanks in advance

Unless you live in one of the complexes, where the neighbours may be forced to comply with the rules, I think you will have to put up with dogs barking wherever you live in Sai Kung.

It is not too bad in Sai Kung for dogs - and the dogs are good for keeping away undesirables - you get used to their barks and will know if there is someone who shouldn't be there.
Floral Villas is about about 10 minutes out of Sai Kung town and it is quite a nice living space with a good community.

Jade villas wouldn't be that easy if you don't like driving. Its at the top of a very long steep hill. The mini buses do go up there, but it will add travelling time as its the other side of Sai Kung. You'd be better looking this side, i.e between Fei Ngo Shan and Pak Sha Wan.

Hi we've been looking around in Sai Kung too, now targeting a whole village house. A couple of places we had seen recently that may interest you are one at Hillview Court, on Clearwater Bay road near Pik Uk prison, but it has 24 hour security with a small communal Gym and nice pool, it has a serene setting green view, 3BR, 2 toilets, amah room, nice deco and 1 covered car park also a shuttle service to Choi Hung MTR asking $25K, another in the village of Pak Kong just before Sai Kung accross from the Lions Park this older village house in good shape had the ground floor and 1st floor, 4 BR, 2ensuite, total 3 toilets, drive up parking in gated/fenced garden about 1000 sq ft with nice mature trees and shrubs, 2 balconies, neighbor hood view and quiet, Asking $18K owner moving to UK end week July we saw through Dragon Pearl in Sai Kung accross from McDonalds
