Painting over bathroom tiles

I have a maids room bathroom which is not being used consistently as a bathroom - but it is downstairs and would be good if I could fix it up to be a little more pleasant. I don't want to spend too much money on having the disgusting dirty brown wall tiles taken off, and I know you can paint over tiles as I have seen it in other places.

I would use seaweed glue to help the paint stick to the tiles - but is there a special paint I need to use to paint them? It will not be used as a shower area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

don't use any glue to help the paint stick to the tiles. Any enamel paint will do the job, just make sure you wash down the tiles with thinner. we did that several times without any problems.
