Construction Noise

Do we have any claim for persistent heavy construction noise within our building (the floor below). It is going into the 3rd month and it is just unbearable. Are we not entitled to some compensation ie. rent reduction or other? It is beyond normal renovation work, it is a complete gutting of one entire floor to turn it from residential to commercial space. We cant have normal enjoyment of our premises.

Probably not entitled, but you can always ask. Are both units owned by the same landlord? Do they stick to the times that construction is deemed 'allowable' (Mon-Fri daytime, Sat am only)?
