What are the + and - of living on Lantau?
Looking to move to Tong Fok at the end of the year.
What's the travel like over to HK.

Not sure what 'Ladies love the place' means ... Anyway. Tong Fuk is a great village - good community atmosphere and very friendly. Communte to Central can be easy (45 mins to my office in IFC 2 if I drive) or a bit of a nightmare (slow ferries to Mui Wo are painful ... Cost is the big variable - about HK$300 a day I reckon to drive (tolls, fuel, parking, etc.) or about HK$50 on bus and ferry. I do both. Commute well worth the lifestyle though - I wouldn't live anywhere else in HK!

Thanks Jem - my hubbie also works in IFC2 so he'll have the nicer commute. I on the other had will be doing the school run to Kennedy school in Pokulam - good days Ferry, bad days car. What about the social side of things? Also not sure if you have children but seems likes there's plenty to do with them at the weekends.
