cheap but nice in HK island

I am moving to HK soon and am looking at living in HK island, Where is the cheapest place to look? I would need about 3 bedrooms and at $15k any advice would be helpfull!

Basically you just need to look outside the usual expat ghettoes: you can try Western district, Eastern District (North Point to Chai Wan etc.) or Aberdeen in the South.

The normal thing to do would be to go to a property agent and ask to see some apartments. Am I missing something?

Three bedroom flat for around $15K, try Chi Fu Fa Yuen, Kornhill or Heng Fa Chuen.

Grand Promonade - about 700 sq ft. You can view this in Centreline (one of the largest agency in HK). Has views. Great clubhouse and facility for kids. Around $15K. Easy to commute. Many apt has great sea view, or tree view. Great kitchen. Small balcony which may not be good if you hve a young child.
