Recommend Accomodation for 3 weeks
Posted by Aussie (318 days ago)
My wife & I will be in HK for about three weeks in March/April 2008. I am looking at options for accommondations for that period. Whilst hotels are an option they can be expensive, and I am looking for other suggestions.
I suspect that serviced apartmenst require at least a months booking.
Would prefer to be on the Island.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Aussie,
In HK, I'd advise you to look at the total cost of the accomodation.
In fact, a lot of service appartment offer a monthly rate that would be less or equivalent to 15 days stays in their premices or any hotel.
For instance, i am now staying in the YWCA in Bonham Road, http://hotel.ywca.org.hk/eng/Mainpage/index.htm
where 15 days stay cost as much as 1 month.
Pls. also note that contrarily to what its name says, most YWCA residences accomodate Men as well as women.
You may also want to try http://www.rentaroomhk.com/index.html
in Jordan
Good luck

rather than think in terms of a nightly rate, translate this into a total budget, so 21 nights = 21000 HKD, therefore look for something with a short term 1-monthly rental of ~ 21K HKD.

We had some old friends in town and unfortunately we did have the room to accomodate them. They found a clean guest house in TST $350 night decent ensuite room
