best time to rent

Hello,

I am looking for a property to rent in an expat area.

Is it cheaper in spring, summer, autumn, winter?

In which month should I find the lower rental?

Rent's are high all year around. An owner will not lower a rent, they would rather it sit empty until they get their asking price, helps the value of their asset

i heard it's particularly low before the chinese new year...don't know if that is true.

From mid Dec to mid Jan is good time, expats are leaving for vacation/home town, might terminate the lease, and start a new one when they're back. Also, very few new comers during the period due the season celebration.
