HELP...Ma Wan, Park Island Advice

My family and I might be moving to Ma Wan soon. I spent 5 hours with an agent there, yesterday. I was in love with the environment and the spacious living rooms as my son will have much room to play in. Although, I'm a bit worried about be sort of "secluded". If anyone lives there or has lived there, please provide some details regarding there facilities and kindergarten.

Is there a clinic/doctor's office?
How much is there kindergarten?
Shopping mall? Movie theatre?

The agent just focused on all the great things there and how low the rent was so it would be nice if I could get a bit more info.

Hi tko

There is a daily doctors clinic next to the bus station.
Don't know about the kindergarten, my kids are school age.
Nearest shopping mall and movie theatre is in Tsing Yi - about 10 -15 min bus trip.

We had just signed the contract for new place a week ago, my wife and I. and few of the question you aer asking were in our mind too.

Park island is just way too beautiful to just think about small things. Regarding of kindergarten that s important, i discovered there is one just next door in the facitlity it self. just opposite of my block (block28) for shopping mall there is only P&S. i was a bit skeptic too when i first went there, not even a decent coffee shop? but beleive me when i start looking around and asking poeple it was worth it. there is almost everything in park island except few things that you can easily get in central. or city super before getting into the ferry.

the ferry run 24h so basically even if i stay late for few pint i can still get home within 20 minute at at anytime of the night.

Re, doc as krasykat said there is one next to the bust station in case of huge urgency, ambulance can easily acceess the island from tsing Yi within 10 minute.

From my point of view you did a great choice, of corse there is inconvinience but hell, where can u find a nice place such as PI in Hong kong? for that price? there is always a tradeoff right?
