Mortgage loans but working overseas

I am a permant resisdent but I do not live in Hong Kong at the moment as my husband and I now work overseas. Now the last time I asked I had to have a salary coming in to the HK account.
Can I still get a loan out from for eg HSBC in Hong Kong if I am working overseas? Any information would be great.

Yes, HSBC do it.

Thanks for this. The rules must have changed as last year I made an inquiry and they mentioned that I must have a piad salary send into the accounts and show tax statements etc. If you defin. know that HSBC do it and you have anyone I cold get in contact with that would be great.
