Timber Decking for Terrace
Posted by juji (58 days ago)
Hi,
I am renting an apartment which has a quite sizable terrace. I am interested in laying timber decking on the floors and walls of the terrace.
Has anyone done this before? Can anyone give me an indication of cost? How long it takes, any tips etc.
Oh yes and of course a good contractor to lay the decking.
I don't want to spend a packet because I am only renting.. just want to make it look presentable

Its about $100 per square foot if you lay those timber squares down. Go to Lockhart Road in Wan Chai there are plenty of shops selling them.
You can lay it yourself.

Just use the timber for the floor, for the walls go buy bamboo rolls - they only cost $250 per 8 foot roll (about 6' tall). Can buy in Horizon Plaza. Timber can cost as little as $30/sq ft.
