Please help! Water pipe leakage into flat below - need advice and plumber
OK, so here's the situation...
The flat beneath me has complained about a damp bathroom ceiling. Management office tested my water pipes for leakage... it's clear I have a problem.
In the layout of my flat the water pipes enter my flat, run under the kitchen floor, under the dividing wall, then under my bathroom floor, splitting to sink and shower.
- Will I need to get the complete pipework replaced (from entry to flat, kitchen, bathroom)... or can I just have a contractor dig up the bathroom floor and replace that specific area?
- Any other ideas on how to minimize cost?
- Any plumbing contractors you could recommend that speak english?
Any advice and guidance much appreciated!!!

You will have to get a contractor to get it fixed. The contractor will gauge the extent of damage and give you a quote. You could ask the management office for a contractor recommendation, alternatively, there are quite a few listed on this site and hk dollar saver. Get a quote from several before deciding.

RA, thanks, I've checked this site and found one plumber near my flat, so I'll definitely get a quote from them.
Loyd, good question! I'll check :p
If anyone has a plumber they can recommend, details would be much appreciated.
