Cafe Einstein, good value for money, friendly staff and nice terrace for lazy weekday diner.

Thai Orchids on the same row as Cafe Einstein. Al fresco area and really good Thai food.

People have recommended some places in Tong Chong St area already so I'll also suggest some places more over the Taikoo Shing end:

Pizza Express is actually quite good.
There is also a reasonably good dim sum restaurant in the DCH Building.
The Shanghai restaurant is OK too (can't remember the name, it's opposite the golf putting green).
Belgos East is OK for a relaxed drink and a snack but the food is pretty poor.

We sometimes walk down to Sai Wan Ho as it's a pleasant enough walk down by the harbour front but the food has been pretty grim in every restaurant we've tried there (at least the ones in that area by the harbour that I guess you're referring to). If you manage to find one that's any good then let me know!

Rio Beira in Sai Wan Ho is pretty good. A bit pricey, but good food and ambiance.

shanghainese - Grand Shanghai Kitchen ( formerly Crystal Jade) - next to Delifrance

Korean - Harubang ( near cityplaza & opposite mTR exit d1)

BBQ & Hong Kong CHinese - West Villa ( Cityplaza mall)

American & Fusion - Belgos East ( with plenty of belgian beer)

try jack tetrazzi (something like that) in soho east the food is prob the best compared to al the other restaurants in that area
