Best Place for All Day English Breakfast on HK Island
Posted by angelalam511 (1226 days ago)
Hiya,
I always want an English Breakfast on Sunday but it's hard to find in HK. I can only find one from Lan Kwai Fong's Insomnia Pub.
The breakfast from Cafe de coral is too small portion and always luke warm!!
Find what you are after in our Hong Kong A-Z Directory

There is a new place run by the lady who started Taco Loco next to Kathmandu on Old Bailey St. and ALL they serve is breakfast ALL the time. Sorry cant remember the name though...

Thanks Ed . Do they serve proper UK Breakfast? Like tomotas, mushrooms, bake beans...bacons..eggs...pork sausages..etc?

Not sure but I would expect since all they do is breakfast then would make a lot of sense to do an English style offering since many English live in HK eh...
If you get in touch see if they do Canadian style - eggs, bacon, toast and Molson.

Great thanks Ed.:) Will let you know if they serve Canadian breakfast;)

Would definitely recommend PJ Murphy's and Dublin Jack for English breakfast.

sorry I mean where are they?

angelalam511> I take it you're VERY new in town! I'm kidding. *smiles*
PJ Murphy's:
Basement, 32 Nathan Rd,
Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon (Tel: 2782 3383)
Dublin Jack:
27 Cochrane Street (next to mid-levels escalator)
Central (Tel: 25430081)
They're both traditional Irish pubs with lovely ambience, friendly service, and authentic English food at a reasonable price. Enjoy!

Thanks, I think I know where Dublin Jack is. It is on the corner and it's near the escalator but I just dont realise that is the name of the pub:)

angelalam511> Welcome. Guess you could say that...Dublin Jack can be the sort of place that you walk past a zillion times, without realizing what it actually is.

The Flying Pan is Tammy's new restaurant. I've tried it, and it's superb!! Best breakfast I've had in Hong Kong, and prices were very reasonable. Only problem is that it's already very popular, so go early on weekends to be sure to get a seat.

The new place is called Flying Pan. It's on Old Baily Road, just across from Pacific Coffee in Soho...near escalator. Great food and tons of it, but plan to wait for your table and your food if you go any time Sat/Sun

Just had a great British fry up at the Flying Pan's new location in Wan Chai and it was bloody good. They serve it with black pudding, mushrooms, beans, grilled tomato, eggs and toast with some nice and crispy bacon
