looking for great restaurant any ideas
Posted by vicks (956 days ago)
I want to go out for dinner at a really good restaurant, nice vibe, nothing too boring, price is not really a concern but don't want to pay if the food isn't great. If you had one night to eat here where would you go??????

Try ENOTECA instead: 47 Elgin Street, Soho, Tel 2525 9944, their food is AWESOME!!! Great atmosphere - try and get a table in their little garden outside.

Italian? Try Divino at Hollywood Road in Central.

"AMIGO" in happy valley. Try their row beef as a apetizer or goose liver. Heaven in mouth!!!! They have also live music. Used to be a restaurant number one in the world!

I have heard the Gaiai is very good but no idea where it is.

Do you mean Gaia? If so, it's very nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. it's in the Center area (the huge high rise with lights that change colour all night long) in Central bordering on Sheung Wan.

I would go for 'Finds' in Lan Kwai Fong or 'Red' in IFC Building. Both have inside/outside eating. Finds is Scandinavian/North European and Red is Mediterranean/South European. Good food, ambience and people to look at.

Try Le Hibou just further along Hollywood Road from Lyndhurst, maybe 200m. Excellent food and you can take your own wine and very charming place. The Maitre is a character. Also La Terrasse and Chez Moi are very reliable. Harlan's and M at the Fringe are also right at the top.
