Thanks

Hi Yasmine,
Try Ruby Tuesday. Heaps of burger varieties and with their 50% discount card, you get a great price as well as a good feed.

Hi Yasmine
Hard Rock Cafe, no doubt!!

Go to Delaney's Irish Pub and order the Delaney's Burger with all the toppings! They have 2 locations. One is in Wanchai on Jaffe Rd. behind Luk Kwok Hotel and the other one is located in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon.

Ruby Tuesday and Triple O's Bacon cheeseburger!

Triple O burgers are the best! From the Breakfast burgers to the all day burgers (Bacon Cheese burgers)

If I wanted to make my own burger, what sort of meat would be best ?

ground sirloin

I hear Main St. Deli inside Langham Hotel, TST. But haven't tried yet. MOS burgers is new in town fresh from Japan -- the line up at APM foodcourt is ONE HOUR just to order a burger -- so wait till the craze has died down. Archies is not bad, good size. And yes, White Spot is a fav of mine!
Posted by AAG (653 days ago)
I tried the MOS burger in APM. All I can say is that it's garbage and not worth lining up for nor the price. I really don't understand what the craze is all about?!
Posted by kimmy (651 days ago)
Dan Ryan's. Don't like Triple O's - yucky "special sauce" and buns strange texture..
Posted by mid-levels (647 days ago)
The best burger you can get at ERNIES DINER in Wan Chai Lockhard Road next to Thyphoon
Posted by teacher22 (646 days ago)
cul-de-sac is always a classic hearty burger

Al's Diner

Cru in Soho. California and Post 97 in LKF.

You are aware that there is a Burger King at the Peak now, right?!
Posted by Rishona (624 days ago)
The Press Room located on Hollywood Road is worth trying. They seem to be always full. So the food must be great!

The "Outbacker" at Outback Steakhouse is pretty good. Medium to Well, Swiss Cheese, I'm droolin all over my keyboard just thinking about it.

Cul de Sac near rat alley in LKF and also in Wanchai

Where is APM? I guess it is Asia Pacific Mall, but I can not find any clear Internet reference to it.
MOS Burger in Japan is quite good, a good date place, that is middle to low end but better than McD's for quick meal. It is over priced there, but still good.
I feel Triple o's is a bit hit and miss sometimes. I go every week, the staff know me now, but the quality is not always high. I keep going back though, love those Bacon-Cheese Burgers :-)
Posted by lasez (566 days ago)
APM is in Kwun Tong on the Kowloon side - they are open till quite late...
Posted by kenoathcow (561 days ago)
Triple O's quality is horrible. The last 3 times I went on a weekday, they served me a stale hamburger bun. I told the manager about it but they did nothing. No more triple O's.
Posted by neko2007 (561 days ago)
I haven't had a stale bun yet, that I know, but do notice sometimes Triple O's 'browns' the buns a bit too much, like last Friday night.
Whenever I have had a problem, at least at the Forum outlet (near IFC), the manager has been quite good about it (about 6 times in 18 months, mostly wrong order, but once under-cooked burger, got free fries). Most places I don't bother to complain, as they don't seem to care or their English gets even more lacking. I just don't go back.
If only there was a Burger King in Central or Admiralty, Triple O's would take a serious hit. Going to walk to the Peak this weekend for lunch, now I am thinking about it.

Skitz in Wanchai has the best burger in town.. hands down.
Posted by sasnia (559 days ago)
Don't forget the vegetarians! Best veggie burgers in town - BK at the peak, Triple O's. I'm with DeapSouth, if only BK was in Cental!

Inside Out, Near Lee Gardens. Can't get any better

How is McSorley's in Soho, they claim to be the best... but are they?
Posted by rachaelhk (550 days ago)
We have always loved the burgers at TGIFridays, in TST. I know, I know, it's across the water from most of you, and you never do that, but there is this underground train thing that comes over here all the time, and you DON'T have to hold your breath as it goes under the harbour. Give it a try!
Posted by Tidings2 (550 days ago)
rachael, I did not know TGIF was still open ! I'll have to try it again.
Posted by boblam07 (549 days ago)
I don't understand the Triple O things as my experience with it was on the greasy side than the taste which was the same as my colleague. I had limited experience here but enjoyed burger at Hard Rock Cafe the most.
Posted by tia (541 days ago)
Ruby's Tuesday is pretty good. I do love the CUl De Sac burgers as well. Their Lamb burger is wonderful.
Posted by arlina (537 days ago)

Posted by car_lover (526 days ago)
Shake 'em Buns @ 2 Star Stree, HK.
Posted by redman (517 days ago)
Another vote for Cul De Sac here. $25 imported beers from 3 until 9 too!
Posted by chiki (514 days ago)
cul de sac has always been good. but i personally prefer the branch in LKF - much friendlier service IMHO
Posted by rainhk (492 days ago)
Coming through arrivals at the airport yesterday I noticed that McDonalds has closed and there is a sign indicating that Burger King is "Opening Soon". This means a whopper fix both at departures and arrivals! Even more exciting is an announcement that BK is expanding in HK with a store opening in "donwtown" HK (Central?) by December 2007:

That being said, I am a big fan of cul de sac

Wagyu has a great steak sandwich
Posted by sydexpat (447 days ago)
The best burgers in HK are at the restaurant at the American Club in Tai Tam.
Posted by Tidings 2 (446 days ago)
What about the burgers from that small takeaway shop on Cochrane St that has only burgers and hot dogs. Clean, seems well run but I have not ordered takeaway from there.
Posted by Burned Potato (439 days ago)
Have tried the McSorley's...not impressed...at all...nothing special at all...However, the place does have quite alright lunch deal.
Posted by adelaide (429 days ago)
my vote is for the jockey and shake 'em buns.
Posted by hksoul (428 days ago)
i still vote for cul de sac
Another really great one at at Wagyu, but it was a steak sandwich ...
Posted by WWCORP (428 days ago)
Hi, You should ultimately try in McDonald. Their Burgers are best in town in terms of Price.
Posted by kellieja (427 days ago)
Woolloomoolo at top end of LKF - the best - apologies if spelt wrong!
Posted by meltdawn (417 days ago)
Delaney's in TST, the fries are awesome too.
i tried Triple O's today. the meat patty was paper thin and the bun was giant and dry.
Posted by Tidings 2 (417 days ago)
I had a Triple O today too and the sauce was just not what I wanted or expected.....
Posted by AimeeJ (414 days ago)
have you been to Shake 'em Buns (on Star Street) - great burgers, grilled to order - perfect!! I've tried most of the places above and this has been the best by far.
Posted by stupendous (407 days ago)
also try hemingway's in DB - great burger - different taste and it is big enough to satisfy a big appetite
