Looking for authentic Hainanese Chicken rice - Malaysian or Singaporean style only. Any recommendation?

Check out Thai Curry House in Sheung Wan. It used to be called Easy Kitchen. WHile the name is Thai Curry House, they kept some of their best dishes from Easy Kitchen (Hainanese Chicken Rice here is truly superb).

try Pasar restaurant. www.thepasar.com
as authentic as you can get in HK... sadly, never as good as the real thing!

After reading recommendations for the Thai Curry House, I decided to have the chicken rice there today. It was good but I'm very particular about the taste of the chilli sauce and that I found not up to MY standard. So for me, the best HC rice I've had in Hong Kong so far is in the foodcourt at Cityplaza in Taikoo. Yum!

I agree with bontheka though I'm not sure it really tastes exactly like the one in Singapore.

i second bontheka - Sergeant chicken rice at Cityplaza in Taikoo is the best so far i've tried in HKG. The rice is really fragrant - but a bit inconsistent at times (as in it can be too oily), ginger, chilli sauce and dark soya sauce all provided.
Pasar's chicken rice isn't that good...and have not tried Thai Curry house.
Whenever i get cravings for chicken rice..i just head to taikoo shing!

I do have a weakness for chicken rice. It was our first trip to the Cityplaza food court and walking around, I felt spoilt for choice. Should I have the Indian food, the Thai food, the...oh wait, is that chicken rice? Made my decision straight away. Unfortunately, I just haven't had the chance to go back since :(

Also, the Thai food at The Food Republic (food court in Taikoo Shing) is quite decent. While the vietnam one seemed to be famous, I don't really like it and felt thirsty almost all the time after I had Pho, a sign of ton of MSG.
