5 day SZ only Visas @ the Border!

Finally got a number for the immigration/visa office @ Luo Wu.
(+86 755 8232 7700) and they confirmed to me (finally!!) that while you wait visa's at the border are available for a number of nationalities (for Australians it's 160 RMB) PAYABLE ONLY IN RMB.
They also said they were open every day.
No photo is required.
After crossing through HK customs etc you cross the land bridge and then look out for stair's/escaltor on the left and go up one floor.

Yes, I was there the other day- it's signed something obvious like "visa office", easy to find. There's a list outside of prices for "others" - most western nations pay 160 RMB -notable exception is Brits, and it's something like 450 RMB! Single entry only. Kind of wipes out the savings.

I am taking a group of friends shopping for the day into Zhuhai, we all have Aussie passports.
Does anyone know if the "while you wait" visa process still applies there.
hard to find out anything official. Any info would be great

Uhm, i don't have any recent or concrete info however the information i found on the internet (which wasn't up to date i guess) said that the while you wait Shenzhen only visa could only be gotten from Lo Wu. (and in any case isn't Zhuhai a different economic zone). That said i do remember seeing on some forums that some people sounded like they'd gotten 'normal' visas via the sea crossing border (whose name escapes me now). So good luck with that and let us know how it turns out.
