Badly need a part for my 15yo BMW, which my lame mechanic claims will take 3 weeks to order from Germany. Any good places in HK to go to seek (new or second hand) parts?

3 weeks is good normally imported parts on order are 3-4 months. You can try the scap yards in Kam Tin but my contacts say that anything that is still in good condition there are bought by the Nigerians or Pakistanis and shipped away

not true

you can go to kam tin scrap yards, i have purchased many a times from there

they will let you know if they have that car/model and they will just remove the part for you on the spot.
