I feel that I have been misled by a financial planning company recently. I have stupidly, signed a contract, stating that I would pay 10% commission on an $800,000 loan that the company would source for me. The consultant assured me of a number of things about the flexibility of the contract, but none of that is in writing. Now the company is trying to force me to take the loan or pay the $80000 fee regardless. I don't need the loan and can likely find cheaper finance elsewhere anyway. Any advice appreciated.
